An Academic + A Horse = A New Team Member

Carol Heaverlo, PhD. is a life-long learner and horse lover interested in conducting research around horse-guided coaching (otherwise known as equine-assisted learning). Yet she hasn’t known anyone engaged in it – until now.

It was during our search to re-home retired fullCIRCLE team member Dale that we first met Carol. And it would ultimately be Carol who would provide Dale with the new home and extra attention and care he needed.

Through welcoming Carol into our circle, we tapped into a tremendous resource. Her background in leadership development, coaching and research is a perfect blend with our Do-Reflect-Apply model for experiential learning. She also helped develop our first qualitative and quantitative study on the effectiveness of leadership experience with horses.
